useful as students can learn about equivalent fractions in fun ways. It breaks
the monotonous traditional teaching and learning style. For this activity
students get to learn about fraction with hands on experience. They need to balance
the fraction with the fraction that is presented with the diagram. If they
balanced right they get a smile and if they balanced wrongly it does not show
the smiling face. Once they balance all correctly they get to move to the next
higher level.
This material can be
used during lesson as an activity for students to carry out. Teacher can take
the students to phet website and let them carry out the activity. It can also
be used during conclusion to check student’s learning on the topic.
